McGill University’s Schulich School of Music (Montreal), in collaboration with the Historical Keyboard Society of North America, is pleased to announce a two-day, intensive workshop dedicated to the study and performance of Mozart’s keyboard music on period instruments. Through masterclasses, private lessons, and performances, and using McGill’s collection of historical keyboard instruments, participants will receive training on style, technique, and interpretation from leading Mozart experts Prof. Dorian Bandy, Prof. Elizaveta Miller, and Prof. Ilya Poletaev.

Participation fee: $80 USD; $40 USD for HKSNA members; Auditors attend free with registration
Repertoire: Participants may bring any of Mozart’s keyboard compositions; however, they are encouraged to look beyond the Piano Sonata genre and focus on Variations, Fantasias, Rondos, and single-movement compositions. Those wishing to study chamber works such as the Violin Sonatas are welcome to do so, and a faculty string player may be available to collaborate; please include this request in your application.
